Zena ~  aka  Miss ZenaDoodle

Zena came to rescue due to family divorce. She was 9-1/2  years old, 14" tall and about 29 pounds [diet and exercise is bringing her weight down ~ originally 31 lbs].

Very sweet natured and a total love muffin ~  happiest when getting ear/back and tummy scritches ~ would put her nose under your arm or on your knee for more.   She quickly adjusted to her foster home and had perfect house manners  [i.e., no accidents during foster mom’s 11 hour work day].  She did the sheltie spin and barked in glee, play bowed in her own unique way, would act silly when “really revved up” and either play sheltie tag or run laps around the sofa.   LOVED fuzzy/squeaky toys ~ would chase/fetch as long as you kept throwing them.

Friendly when approaching strangers, she would bark at dogs once she decided “her turf” was the mile loop around the neighborhood.   She was fine with the two shelties in her foster home, realizing that she was low girl in the pack.  Learned to avoid Alpha Sashi, pretty much ignored Beta Buddy unless he pestered her to play.
