pup date August 14, 2010 ~ Zeke is now in his forever home :)

Zeke
is an 8 year old Tri-Colored sheltie, neutered,  17" tall & about 24lbs.

He is good with children and adults [note that we do not adopt to families with children under the age of 10].  He does well with strangers and is often quick to greet someone new.  Zeke likes to play with a tennis ball and can catch them in mid air.   He likes car rides and does well in hotels and traveling.   Zeke likes to be the boss when it comes to other dogs and will often herd a much larger dog if allowed.  Zeke gets along well with smaller dogs and cats, l but believes anything larger than he is a sheep. Zeke is easy to groom, is cooperative with teeth cleaning, but dislikes nail clippers [using the rotary clippers work well].

Zeke has a sensitive stomach, so treats should be chosen accordingly [we'll provide a list of recommended food/treats per original owner].    He has a few dislikes in life.  Zeke, like most shelties, does not like Thunderstorms, people riding a bike or jogging past the house, and machinery like motorcycles and large trucks.  He becomes frightened with any type of loud, sharp noise.  If he is really upset & wants to tell you about it, his favorite reminder is to knock over a trash can.   He will not tear anything up, but maybe a Kleenex, and only does this when left alone for long period of time.

Zeke follows you around the house and prefers not to stay alone in a room.   He likes to sit beside you on the couch and to sleep at your feet on the bed.
