Snickers

Snickers is about 14 years old.  His previous owner had to go into senior housing and sadly, Snickers was not able to go along.  Despite the love for Snickers, veterinary care and grooming were not a big part of taking care of him, and his ears were compromised.  He became deaf over a period of time, due to the constant and ongoing ear infections.  His ears were so bad, that removal of both ear canals was performed.

Snickers is doing much better now that he had his ear surgery.   He is being treated for Lyme disease and he is feeling better.   He is walking better and even running.   At his foster home, he shows a desire to pick up toys and play (as the pictures show).   If there are no toys, Snickers will improvise with sticks!

Snickers would probably do best in a home with maybe one other Sheltie.   He is ok with cats.

Although he is older, he will melt your heart and try to be a great companion for quite awhile longer.
