Adopted September 2009

Dec 2009 ~ what's that thing on your head, Loren ??
Oh No ... now it's Coco's turn to feel silly LOL

Pup Date  November 23, 2009

We want to inform the sheltie community that Coco is doing great.

He has a lovely companion of an Old English Sheepdog, who is selfish and stubborn,
but loves him anyway, in her own ways as an alpha dog,  and Coco and Loren just graduated last Saturday from Basic Obedience Classes at the Sit Happens Academy here in Williamsport.

He got a diploma with his name, and a toy doggie with gown and cap!
We had a hard time to get a picture of him, because he does not like to be trapped between our arms.   We are including a picture of him and of Loren, his girlfriend.

Soon afterwards, they ripped the toys apart.

Those two are having a ball together.

September 27th  PupDate

We have had Coco for almost a week and we are very pleased with him.  He and Loren have become friends, although they still spend a good deal of the day frisking playfully and silently to determine who will be the alpha dog between them.
I watch but don't interfere. They must determine that themselves.

They run, they play, they share their toys and their bones, they go in and out of the house and follow us everywhere!
Coco is quiet most of the time, but gets startled by unknown noises and barks a few times.   Otherwise he is the sweetest thing, and gets really happy when I return from work.

I told you that the first day he spent most of the afternoon looking out the front door, waiting for his family to return. Now he's fine. Here's the picture I took of him then.  The second day, Loren spent most of the day thinking:  "When is that guy finally going to leave this house?" Now she's fine,  but he still cannot get into her sofa. Oh no!

Here are some pictures of them, together and by themselves.  Mercedes saw them lying together for the first time and took that series of pictures  that I joined in a panorama. Loren crawled closer and closer and just let him chew on her bone. It's good, considering he invaded her house!

Who is that beautiful puppy ?

Waiting for mom to come home :)

Sept. 20, 2009

Loren has lots of toys to share with her new friend.     Rocky [now CoCo since this was written] really likes her & made himself right at home,  admiring himself in the full length mirror that "lives in" the living room.
He sat by the front door for about an hour after his foster mom left, than settled in and started playing with Loren.
