Pinky [renamed Lacey]

Lacey ~ from her new mom :)

Pinky is so named because of the pinkish colored marking on her fur showing where the harness used to be ~ all entwined with her horribly matted coat.

She had been on her own for quite some time, going by her condition.     She was wandering on a busy highway  ... almost hit by a car ... and a good samaritan/rescue angel scooped Pinky up & brought her home to make sure she didn't get hurt.   After contacting the local animal shelter, checking for "lost" ads/posters,  Pinky was turned over to SSPSNJ.

Pinky's age is uncertain ~ we are guessing she's around 8.   Has a wonderful, laid back, "take it as it comes" personality.   Her short-term stay with her guardian angel .... who happens to do greyhound rescue ......  showed that she's good with other dogs   [allowed the puppy to hang all over her] & enjoyed 3-way tug-of-war games with other dogs in the household.

She rides well in the car.   She is housetrained.  For now, Pinky is staying at Longhill Kennels until we have a foster home available.   We will post more details once she's been vet checked.
