Oliver ~ April 2010

November 15, 2010 .......Sad news

Our little Oliver died on Friday, 11/12.

He was his usual self, coughing a bit, but, his medicine helped.  He took his walk around the yard to "check the perimeter"..and all was safe.  He ate his breakfast and his afternoon "snackie"...He laid on my foot while I folded the laundry...I went to Costco and Walt met me there.  But, when we returned home, he did not come running to greet us...I just feel bad I wasn't with him.  The Vet thinks that with his medical history, he probably had an arrhythmia and died in his sleep.  We hope it was peaceful.  Now, we are pretty sure that Chemo would not have helped and would not have been a pleasant way to spend his last few days...

We are grateful to have known him.....And We are glad he had one and 1/2 years of knowing what love is,  and he got to go the a Sheltie Rescue Picnic...

We are sure he found Atom and the two of them are waiting for the mail carrier....

Thanks for listening.

August 4, 2009:

Mackie came to us from a rescue group in Toms River. We've only had him a few days, so the posted information [below] is from his previous PetFinder listing. We will update as soon as we have add'l information.

This adorable little boy is probably around 10 years old. He was found at the shelter, turned in by his owners who probably didn't want to be bothered with him anymore. He is missing a lot of his fur.

We did get his blood test results today and he has a thyroid problem. He started his thyroid meds today and hopefully we will have good results and his fur will grow back. He is such a sweet boy and no trouble at all. He is quiet in a crate and just wants love. ** foster home is working on housebreaking **
