Hi Aneita --

I stopped by to see Nick and Cashi and wanted to let you know how they're doing.

The boys are doing incredible!!!!  I cannot express enough how happy, safe and content they seem to be.

When I initially got there, Connie had run out a few minutes earlier for a quick errand.  Her husband sat down in the living room with me, and immediately both Nicky and Cashi jumped up on his lap for safety.... wouldn't come too close to me.  I was surprised that after only being there such a short time they felt so safe with him.   It was so great to see!  You could tell they adored him.  When Connie came in through the back, everyone ran to greet her, but when she sat on the couch, you could tell right away who the boys'  favorite was.  They didn't leave an inch of her face unkissed and those tails did not stop wagging.   I stayed about a half hour and they did warm up to me by the time I left.  At one point both were standing on my legs wanting to be pet. They're friendly little guys.   I will also saw at one point, Nick was on Connie's husband's lap while he was sitting in his reclining chair and Nicky was sprawled across his lap, bits up and fell asleep.  A sure sign that he felt safe and content.

Nick and Cashi look as if they've lived there from day one,  and Connie tells me they both sleep in bed with her and her husband, but have to be sleeping right up against her body all night.  They are so adorable and so lovable.

They seem to get a long with the other three dogs well.  Fred and Crystal (I think that's her name) are both puppy mill dogs, not used to a lot of human contact, so they pretty much do their own thing and don't want too much one on one interaction and petting with anyone..... which works out great for Nick and Cashi because Connie tells me that's all they want.  Murray, their other Sheltie mix rescue, is a bit jealous.  You could tell  he's a mamma's boy, and looks at Connie with the most loving look I think I've ever seen a dog have.  He tries to weasle his way in to get attention when she is petting the other two.

Nick and Cashi scored a wonderful home!  They're lucky boys; they're already well loved and were able to stay together!

Connie asked me to scan these pics and send them to you.

Here they are sitting on her husband's lap.  Too cute!

Nicki snoozing, feeling safe & loved

Look at how relaxed they look now compared to pictures below ... just a few weeks makes all the difference !!!

Cashie is shorter, a bit on the shy side
Nicky is taller, and has a dominant/alpha male personality
You could call them Huey & Luey,  Chip & Dale,  Heckle & Jeckle, Frick & Frack .....

These adorable boys are litter mates.   Their foster parents say they've never seen two dogs so attached to each other ~ They gallop side by side, touching each other and give each other moral support in new situations.

We would love to see these guys adopted together ~  but will separate them if necessary to get them into loving forever homes.   They are up-to-date on shots & both have been neutered.   Both are housebroken.

Both love kids and are very gentle with them [foster family has a 10 year old son, visiting neighbors have 4 & 6 year old].   They both like other dogs & do well with their foster families gang, also like riding in the car.

Cashi is a bit shy,  Nicky is a dominant/alpha male.    They are very affectionate, love to cuddle [Nicky likes to lay in your lap & gives lots of kisses], want very much to please their humans.     Their play style is mostly 'running' with the other dogs, but they will play with toys & balls.

Must have a securely fenced yard ~  i.e., not something they can slip through/under.

** Cashi does not like cats & will not come back indoors if he senses there's a cat on the other side of fence. **
