Pup date June 2010
It has been a rough few months. As you may remember, my mother-in-law was under hospice care and she finally passed in late April. I also had some health issues to deal with and thankfully mine turned out to be only something that needs monitoring and hopefully never turns into anything else. My dad also had surgery and John had the flu , and this is only the 3rd time in 14 years that he has been sick. I think we reached our quota for issues this year and hopefully the rest of the year will be smooth sailing.
In the midst of all of this Maverick came into our lives, and what a ray of sunshine in some dark times. He is really doing well. He has many new friends in the neighborhood, both canine and human. He loves the park behind our house. Our walks have been a little shorter on these hot days but enjoyed never the less.
Max really enjoys him too!! Mav loves to chase Rosie our cat (I'm not sure she loves the chase quite as much as he does) and they are funny to watch. He even really seems to like Bailey our bunny. Every time he and Max go out in the morning they go over to her cage to say hello.
We absolutely adore him. We can't thank you enough for bringing him to us. It's as if he was with us for the past 12 years. I just took down his crate and put it in the closet. He never went in it and is good as gold when we are out. Hope this update finds you well. Feel free to share it with rescue if they are interested in his progress in his new home.
