Got through a broken part of fence on fostermom's property.
This girl was brought in as a stray, so she is used to being on her own ~ although she wasn't 'alone' the last time .... she was traveling with her sheltie companion, Bear.
Last seen ..... 9 p.m. at 16 Carroll Court, Sicklerville, NJ
Call Carol at 609-230-6573
e-mail = CLoughrey@Comcast.net
294 tattoo in her ear
Senior sheltie ~ perhaps 10 .... very skittish, but very friendly. About 24 lbs.Funny front teeth.
Has your sheltie ever slipped his/her collar or harness?
Scooted past you & out the door before you could even blink?
Gotten out of what you thought was a 'securely fenced yard' ?
Sometimes we are very very lucky and our sheltie comes right back when called.... overcoming that fleeting /naughty "catch me if you can" desire to run free.
Then there are the times when you can't get your prescious sheltie to turn around & obey ~ perhaps too scared to even think !!! the car that just backfired or fireworks or the big dog that ran up like it was going to eat both of you

ZACK ~ LOST / late MAY 2009 ~ Mahopac, NY on Watermelon Road
Zack is a 15-yr old sable sheltie. His sight and hearing are going, so his age and disability make this all the more heartbreaking. His best friend is a drug detection dog and he was taken out to look for Zack, but did not pick up any scent. His owner's name is Linda and her e-mail is chemladyb@yahoo.com or lburris@lakelandschools.org.
Please keep an eye out for him in case he turns up in rescue.

Heidi ~ STILL MISSING AS OF DECEMBER 2009 LOST ON November 12, 2008 ~ Columbus, NJ
Please be on the lookout for our baby, Heidi. Heidi is 12 years old, spayed, 24lb, tri-colored Sheltie. She is wearing a leather collar with ID tags. One tag is a red bone tag and the other tag has "I Love You" written on it. NOTE: Heidi was recently diagnosed with cateracts, which impedes her quality of vision at night.
She bolted from Homestead Senior Development/Columbus NJ Wagon Wheel Lane on November 12th at around 6:30PM. She was at around 8:30pm on Lakeview Terrace [same development]. She then proceeded onto Lakeview Court, where she ran into a backyard, which encompasses a huge wooded area with creeks and a lake. She was seen again at the RV Parking Lot inside the gate of the water treatment facility of Homestead Senior Development.
Please note Heidi is very friendly and not aggressive at all. She is very scared, is afraid of other dogs/pets, and will run if you run after her. The best course of action is to sit still on the ground and call her calmly to you.
She sometimes responds positively if you say, "Want to see Daddy"...or "Want to see POPPIE". She may respond to you asking her if she wants a greenie bone or if she wants go for a ride in the car. She LOVES TRUCKS and riding in them. She gets excited when you drive fast. She is skittish and is only comfortable around people she knows and she does this funny thing...she barks like crazy if you sneeze.
Our hopes and prayers are that she is safe and will possibly be seeking human companionship soon as she will be hungry, tired, cold and wet. We are beside ourselves with grief so if you see her or have managed to pick her up please call either

Moose ~ Lost February 16th ~ FOUND February 20, 2009
We lost our Sheltie, "Moose", on Monday morning (2/16) in Parsippany, NJ. He was staying at a relative's house for the weekend and found his way out of the fenced in yard.
Dixie got out of her family's fenced yard on November 21st. They were frantic looking for her ~ but she was found "safe & sound" and is home again as of December 4th.
** don't leave your dogs unattended, not even in "a fenced yard" ... you never know what might happen !!
My sable female 4 year old sheltie [she looks like a mini collie] was sold by my groomer in Levittown, N.Y. the last week of August 2008. She's about 35 lbs [when last seen]. Has one blue eye, one brown. Spayed.
We were on vacation and we came home to find our Shellie missing. The groomer has told stories, like she opened her front door and let her run.... then she claims she was stolen from her backyard.
Maybe you or someone you know bought our Shellie, not knowing she has a loving family in N.Y. We are not looking to hurt anyone we just want our girl back.
Please look at her picture maybe you've seen her....
We have a very large reward for the safe return of Shellie YOU CAN HAVE IT ALL....
