Jude was turned over to rescue because his "mom" was elderly, ill, and unable to care for herself any longer.   She got him as a stray, so we guessed his age at 8 based on activity level, the condition of his teeth, etc.      ** although well loved, his dental care was nonexistent and 14 teeth had to be removed when he was brought to rescue.     Jude was sweet, relatively quiet [unless he wanted to go out or felt you weren’t paying enough attention to him], very playful .... would toss balls and stuffed toys at you.   He was friendly with other dogs and walked well on leash, well behaved and had excellent house manners.    Loved to ride in the car ~ tried to jump in on his own, but his short legs and big belly made this a bit difficult <VBG>.
