Pup Date  October 2010 ~  Gracie has been adopted :)

Meet Gracie ~  a 4-1/2 year old beautiful Sable and White Sheltie.

She is a sweet dog, but is a little on the shy side until she gets to know you (rather typical of most Shelties).   Gracie would love to be in home with 2 or 3 other Shelties and have the luxury of a fenced in yard.

Unfortunately for Gracie, she had experienced some sort of trauma to her lower back several months ago  could not stand or walk.   Gracie had  x-rays and  a myelogram done to try and determine what had happened.   Because she has improved so well, the vet feels it was trauma to her spine.    With a little weight loss and frequent exercise intervals and months of rest, she is up and walking and running (if she chooses).   Her coat is coming in very nicely and she is enjoying life again.   She is fine with people and cats and dogs (provided they don't jump on her back).

We would like to s ee our Amazing Gracie in her new home who would be kind and gentle with her.    No jumping off of furniture for her.  Gracie is crate trained and house broken.   She walks with a very slight sway, but she gets around just fine.   Please consider giving our Gracie the chance to win your heart.

In her foster home, the day she took off running after one of the other Shelties, was like watching a bird that had mended it's broken  wing and then, a little miracle happened she was able to fly again.   Which is why she is named our "Amazing Gracie".
