Pet dental hygiene ~ Really …. Does it matter?
Yes, it really does matter. In fact, with good oral hygiene, you pet(s) can live 2 to 5 years longer. None of us has a crystal ball, but we DO know that without dental health program, our pets major organs are compromised every day, just as ours would be if we did not take care of our mouths and teeth. Pet periodontal disease is THE SILENT KILLER OF PETS.
Many pet owners know that their furry friend’s breath sometimes precedes their pet into the room! Why is that? The odor is caused by VSC, or Volatile Sulfur Compounds; the by-product of bacteria in the mouth. This bacterium is more than just “bad breath”. It can take our pets from us slowly, over time.
