Damien ~ new [needs foster home]
Damien is 3 yrs old and lives in a multi-sheltie house.   However, he wants to be an only furkid ....  he's jealous of his housemates & barks enough to be causing complaints from the neighbors.  Since he's the later addition to the family and there are no problems with the other shelties,  Damien needs a home that is more suited to his personality.   We will post more once we've actually met him.

He will need a foster home while we are trying to find him a forever mom/dad ......

Pearl ~ adoption pending
Chrissy ~ adoption pending

Lancaster Puppy Mill Shelties ~
working on socialization prior to adoption.......
Their entire lives have been spent in small cages under
deplorable conditions   [i.e., 3-4 per cage, no sanitation,
lack of fresh water, etc].

f you are interested in sponsoring, fostering or adopting
one of these special shelties,  please contact Aneita Frey
at a.frey@asdc.net

Lucy Blue ~ a Puppy Mill Survivor's Story
  • We consider all of these dogs to be "flight risks" since the world will be new to them.
  • They will need to be socialized to humans, pets, and outside experiences.
  • They will need to be house broken.
  • They will need to learn to walk on leash and basic commands, as any good pet living in a home.
  • In short ~ they are going to need very special homes with lots of TLC.
