Charlie was 3 years old when we first met him. He had been an outdoor dog his entire life, so wasn't really housebroken. His owner relocated and couldn't take him along ~ he had been staying with a friend while she tried to find him a home. He was very sweet !! Shy at first and not really sure if he wanted to come out of his crate (being uprooted can be pretty scarey), he warmed up to his foster mom and foster sister, Sashi within a day or so. He was happy and playful, teaching Sashi (adopted rescue/history of abuse) how to play tag and climb snow mounds in the back yard. He went to his forever home at the end of February. His new parents had 2 other rescue shelties ~ both older boys with certified therapy dog certificates. Within just a few months, Charlie successfully completed obedience training to the level of earning his Canine Good Citizenship [CGC] AND he also earned his Therapy Dog Certification, which qualified him to visit nursing homes, hospitals, etc. to share his happy, warm hearted, tail waggin personality with others in need of a doggie hug. We send big hugs and kisses your way, Charlie ... what awesome progress you made in such a short time !!
