Bizkit is a very sweet sable male, seven years old, about 16" at shoulder. He was an owner surrender because family moved and couldn't take him along. He was pretty much a backyard dog ~ along with the mastif and cocker spaniel ..... none of them were given heartworm Tx or flea/tick preventative ... nor were they altered. They claim there weren't any puppies through the years. Vet evaluation showed that "the Bizkit", as he came to be known, had whip worms, hook worms [thank goodness he didn't have heartworms], his ear tips were horribly fly bitten/crusted in blood AND he had a "mastiff sized canine tooth bite" on his nose that was several weeks old and looked like it had been to the bone !!!
He was placed with Nina, one of our newer foster moms, to evaluated for adoption. Well ~ he just wrapped her around his paw and got along so well with everyone in the family that he has been offically adopted as a new member of their pack :)
stop back for stories and pictures .....
[Note ~ the pictures shown here were taken right after he was picked up from previous owners. Obviously when he first came to us he was in need of a major grooming session ~ we haven't seen a dog this filthy and matted in some time ... including strays picked up by animal control !!]
